Diary of a Wimpy Kid is adapted from an online web book and is presented in a mix of "hand-lettered" text and cartoon drawings. It is the journal of Greg Hefffley, who writes about his trials during his middle-school years. Every kid wants to be popular and so does Greg. He is currently ranked around 52 or 53 and is trying to work his way up the popularity scale, but what can he do when he has a family that constantly embarassses him, a nerdy best friend and is a skinny and undersized kid?
Greg often has his own interests at heart and has many faults, but his commentary on his life and middle school is always funny. Readers will enjoy this fast read.
